Free Classified ads,Post ads Classified,Free Business Classified ...

More importantly we want to discuss how paid website directory submissions can be better. I think the single biggest factor that gives paid web directory submissions an advantage over free submissions is the time in which your website will actually be added to the directory.

Nothing beats free in life. Or is it nothing in life is free? Either way, we are tempted to look at free web directory submissions versus paid submissions to see which is better.

Keep in mind that if you do enough free website submissions there will be many that accept and include your site right away, but every paid web submission is guaranteed to include your website within a day or two. I guess it all comes down to what is important to you.

Summary Box: Fiat profit doubled in 2011 (AP)

THE CHRYSLER EFFECT: Fiat Group SpA, the Italian automaker which controls Chrysler, on Wednesday reported that full-year earnings more than doubled ? beating expectations ? thanks to Chrysler, which posted its first profit since 1997.

BY THE NUMBERS: Net profit, rose to euro1.3 billion ($1.71 billion) from euro520 million a year earlier, while revenue rose 66 percent to euro59.5 billion. The results exceeded the company's guidance.

WEAK IN EUROPE: Fiat Group Autos, which includes Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, saw annual vehicle shipments slip 2.4 percent to 2 million, due largely to declining European sales. Chrysler sales jumped 22 percent.

Assange appeals extradition to UK's top court (Reuters)

LONDON (Reuters) ? WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange appealed to Britain's Supreme Court Wednesday not to extradite him to Sweden over accusations of sex crimes, a move that could push his anti-secrecy website further toward oblivion.

Australian-born Assange, 40, became a worldwide celebrity and infuriated the U.S. government in 2010 when WikiLeaks released secret video footage and thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Since then, the scoops have dried up and WikiLeaks has faded from the news headlines, starved of cash by major credit card companies that are refusing to process online donations to it, and bogged down by Assange's protracted legal troubles.

Assange was detained in Britain in December 2010 on a European arrest warrant issued by a Swedish prosecutor after two female former WikiLeaks volunteers accused him of sexual assault.

His lawyers argue that the warrant is invalid because it was issued by a prosecutor rather than a neutral judge or court. He has not been charged in Sweden but is wanted for questioning.

If the Supreme Court in London rejects the argument, he may take his case to the European Court of Human Rights but it is unclear whether that would stop his extradition to Sweden.

"HE SPEAKS TRUTH TO POWER"

A small group of demonstrators gathered outside, braving a freezing morning to show support for Assange, who looked relaxed in a dark grey suit and purple tie as he entered court.

They carried banners with slogans such as "The system punishes whistleblowers to protect its own" and "Free Assange."

"He speaks truth to power. He should be considered a national hero," said Scott Albrecht, a former U.S. soldier turned peace activist.

The Supreme Court hearings will last two days and the court is expected to announce its decision some weeks later.

Assange denies any wrongdoing and has said that the sex accusations, which surfaced at the height of the international furor over WikiLeaks, were an attempt to silence him.

He is convinced that U.S. authorities are looking for a way to go after him in retaliation for WikiLeaks' revelations.

Washington is divided over Assange, with some officials calling for tough action against him to deter would-be leakers and others saying a prosecution would be legally problematic and would give him a boost when he appears headed for irrelevance.

Bradley Manning, a U.S. army intelligence analyst suspected of passing thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks, is facing a court-martial on 22 charges including aiding the enemy and wrongfully causing intelligence to be published online.

Meanwhile, Assange has been holed up under house arrest for over a year, mostly at the English country mansion of a wealthy supporter.

He has made some unexpected career moves, including a guest appearance in an episode of the satirical U.S. animated series "The Simpsons" due to be aired on February 19.

In another TV first, Kremlin-funded station Russia Today announced last week that it had hired Assange to host a political talk show called "The World Tomorrow."

Mitt Romney moved to the right of Newt Gingrich in Florida

Mitt Romney's key in Florida: Being more conservative than Newt Gingrich on immigration, Medicare, and space exploration.

If Newt Gingrich loses in Florida today - and, as Decoder wrote this morning, all signs point to a decisive defeat - analysts will undoubtedly point to the impact of money and TV ads. Florida is an extremely expensive state to run in, and Mitt Romney outspent Gingrich there by as much as 5 to 1.

But we?d argue there?s another reason Gingrich has floundered in the Sunshine State: He allowed Romney to get to the right of him politically.

In South Carolina, where Gingrich pulled out a stunning surprise victory over Romney, he did it in part by whipping up a late-crashing wave of conservative support. His attention-grabbing debate exchanges with moderators over hot-button issues - such as whether calling President Obama a ?food stamp president? was racist, and his outrage at being asked about his ex-wife?s charge that he wanted an ?open marriage? - played into the genuine hostility many base conservatives and tea party sympathizers feel toward the ?lamestream? media and the left.?

Significantly, those debate moments also wound up overshadowing the other major narrative in South Carolina - Gingrich?s attacks on Romney?s record at Bain Capital and his taxes - which, while effective in pushing Romney?s unfavorable ratings up, held serious danger for Gingrich, since they brought a slew of criticism from fellow Republicans, who argued he was positioning himself against free enterprise.

And it was that latter dynamic - Gingrich attacking Romney from the left in ways that drew criticism from conservatives, rather than marshaling their support - that actually carried over into Florida. Consider:?

  • On immigration: Gingrich ran a radio ad in Florida accusing Romney of being ?the most anti-immigrant candidate? - but was forced to?pull it after criticism from Sen. Marco Rubio, a tea party favorite. When Gingrich tried to defend the charge in last Thursday?s debate, asking Romney how he would characterize deporting ?grandmothers? who have been here for years, Romney came back with?the zinger: ?Our problem is not 11 million grandmothers.? What the base heard: Gingrich wants to let illegal immigrants stay; Romney doesn?t.?
  • On Medicare: When Romney accused Gingrich of lobbying on behalf of healthcare clients for the 2003 prescription-drug program known as Medicare Part D - an unfunded expansion of Medicare that the Congressional Budget Office projects will cost the government more than $16 trillion - Gingrich defended himself by saying he?d always favored ?a stronger Medicare program? and added: ?I?m proud that I publicly advocated Medicare Part D.??More recently, Gingrich resorted to attacking Romney for cutting Medicare spending on Kosher meals for Jewish seniors during his time as governor of Massachusetts. What the base heard: Gingrich supports extravagant spending on entitlements; Romney doesn?t.
  • On space exploration: In perhaps the most widely-mocked line of the campaign, Gingrich said he would put a base on the Moon and allow the Americans living there to apply for statehood. Romney retorted that if an employee of his had proposed spending hundreds of billions of dollars for a Moon colony, he?d tell them they were fired. What the base heard: Gingrich would throw billions of dollars at a pie-in-the-sky idea; Romney wouldn?t.

All these lines were clear efforts by Gingrich to pander to different Florida voting groups: Hispanics, seniors, space-industry employees. But ironically, they also allowed Romney to come across as the more conservative of the two men - and in a GOP primary, conservative usually wins.

Inexhaustible divine energy

A Christian Science perspective.

The beauty of renewables, such as wind, is that they help us realize an immense supply of useful energy that is already available. As explained in a recent Monitor feature, we have good reason for optimism about these new technologies and can be excited for the benefits of energy transformation.

Nonetheless, talk of new energy also conjures up a lot of worries. For instance, many fear that a transition to renewables will imperil access to reliable and cheap energy.

A spiritual approach allows us to reject fear and limitation, drawing instead from inspired concepts about God and the limitless resources that the Divine bestows on mankind. A spiritual approach to energy recognizes God as the all-powerful prime mover, the one true power source in the universe, capable of providing for all of the needs of humanity effectively, efficiently, reliably, and harmlessly right this instant and on a consistently replenishing basis.

This approach is not just platitudes. It?s a way forward validated by the experiences of centuries of spiritual thinkers contemplating how to overcome material lack.

King David was familiar with relying on God when faced with heavy lifting. Perhaps this recognition inspired him to write the psalms attributed to him, including this line recognizing all that God provides: ?my cup runneth over? (23:5). This passage conveys the immense blessing of God?s beauty shining, dissolving burdens and improving our capacity to do good work.

A few thousand years later, Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, wrote: ?Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life.... Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine ?powers that be? ? (?Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,? p. 249). With words like these, Mrs. Eddy inspired a way of thinking, carried on today, that proved the potency of spiritual thought brought to bear on societal and individual challenges.

While recently attending a scientific conference, I caught up with several friends who were pursuing business ideas aimed at solving energy challenges. These conversations made me grateful for the work that is being done already. However, it also made me recognize the opportunity to pray to support visionary thinkers everywhere as they seek to implement systems that will meet our energy demands and lessen their impact on our climate.

Expanding on a spiritual source of energy won?t just help society obtain cheaper and cleaner electrons, although this is certainly a high priority. It will also send ripples of inspired thought to meet the challenges we face individually and collectively.

Energy, spiritually conceived, sheds light on situations. It helps those who feel overworked to accomplish their tasks more efficiently, and provides those who struggle to find work with rewarding employment. It removes obstacles of fear, exhaustion, intermittence, and insufficiency that block pathways to success. It brings renewal and empowerment. A spiritual understanding of energy will demonstrate that, as Paul puts it in the Bible, ?God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work? (II Corinthians 9:8).
