'How I Met Your Mother' Season 9: Wayne Brady will attend the wedding

The final season of "How I Met Your Mother" will bring a member of the extended Stinson family to Barney and Robin's wedding.

The CBS comedy, which began production on Season 9 this week, will feature Wayne Brady reprising his recurring part as Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) half-brother, James. The entire season will apparently unfold over the course of Barney and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding weekend, so it makes sense for James to be there.

Brady broke the news of his return via Twitter Monday (July 8), writing, "Just got back from my 1st 'HIMYM' fitting of the season! Can't wait to shoot." He first goes in front of the camera on Wednesday.

Brady last appeared on "How I Met Your Mother" in Season 7. The show's final season is set to premiere? Sept. 23 on CBS.
