A thrifty way to keep cool in this heat wave is to dab the ice from your Champagne bucket onto your forehead
DAVID Cameron has made a spectacular Twitter gaffe, linking to a spoof account of Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith.
The Prime Minister, who once said that "too many tweets make a t**t," was tweeting about today's benefits cap introduction when he linked in who he thought was his cabinet colleague. But Mr Cameron blundered when he instead to @IDS_MP when he tweeted: "We're rolling out a cap on Benefits today - @IDS_MP and I are determined to make work pay, and help the UK compete on the #GlobalRace." But @IDS_MP is a spoof Twitter account definitely NOT run by the minister. The account has a profile that reads: "Chin chin old bean."
?A thrifty way to keep cool in this heat wave is to dab the ice from your Champagne bucket onto your forehead?
And some of the tweets also give the game away that it's not the real IDS. One tweet reads: "A thrifty way to keep cool in this heat wave is to dab the ice from your Champagne bucket onto your forehead." Another references the Lib Dems controversial mansion tax policy.
It reads: "I've always supported a Mansion Tax. Your Tax buys my Mansion. Chin chin!" In response to the PM's tweet, @IDS_UK tweeted: "Chin chin Dave. Round mine for a Pimms later?" The tweet is still in place on the Prime Minister's Twitter timeline.
