Travelex ranked first in number of policies sold, while Travel Insured ranked first in premium volume sold. ?These two providers are sharing the number one spot again this year; however, 2011 is shaping up to be very different,? says Chris Harvey, CEO of Squaremouth.com, America?s fasting growing comparison website for travel insurance.

Travel Insured experienced the most significant increase last year, largely resulting from policy changes on April 28, 2010. ?We may see Travel Insured at number one for both categories in 2011,? says Harvey. After reviewing their pricing models, Travel Insured rearranged their age brackets and pricing structure to be more competitive. Since the changes have been made, Travel Insured has experienced substantial growth. They are now leading by eight percent in both categories for 2011.
